Songs are complemented by Ben’s “Mad Scientist of the Keys” arrangements, and Dan’s violin work ranging from subtle sweetness to wild shredding. David’s global percussion keeps things glued together for this “misfit orchestra” to deliver what you will discover as true musical genius.

During the next 18 months, five EPs will be released (five songs each) to form a musical “Flight of Whiskey”. Sometimes songs will be a single malt; others an adventurous blend. Whether you choose to slowly sip or drink in one glorious revealing, you will be left wanting more!

Johnny Lex and the Allies delivers a new sound that is all their own. When listening, you will hear a sounds similar to the Zac Brown Band and perhaps Steely Dan. Bruce Cockburn or Robbie Robertson may come to mind while singing along with the lyrics or reading liner notes. Poetry set in hyper motion would be an accurate description of this band’s originals. Covers that are given the JLA treatment sound fresh and reenergized.
