Johnny Lex and the Allies

An Orchestra of Allies

JLA is an energetic combination of Americana and rock & roll with a touch of soul. Heavily influenced by the heart of Appalachia in the Roanoke Valley area.

Johnny’s rich vocal delivery invokes raw emotion, complimented by Ben's arrangements aka the Mad Scientist of the Keys.

David’s global percussion fuses together this orchestral delivery of what you will discover as true musical genius.

about the band

"alt americana fusion"

Johnny Lex and the Allies delivers a new sound that is all their own. When listening, you will hear a sounds similar to the Zac Brown Band and perhaps Steely Dan. Bruce Cockburn or Robbie Robertson may come to mind while singing along with the lyrics or reading liner notes. Poetry set in hyper motion would be an accurate description of this band’s originals. Covers that are given the JLA treatment sound fresh and reenergized.
